SB358 - Prevention of sale of public school assets to private schools
POSITION
Oppose
Senate Roll Call #: 436
This bill requires a school corporation to sale any inactive school building to another public school or charter school for $1 before it can entertain offers from private non-affiliated schools. This is clear discrimination against schools that are not aligned with the the State Board of Education. Sales of these assets should be to the highest bidder.
